THE CRANK SENSOR IS LOCATED ON THE PASSINGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE , BUT ON THE BACK OF THE ENGINE YOU MMUST REMOVE THE FRONT TIRE TO REACH IT RIGHT BEYOND THE SPEED SENSOR
No it's not!
It is located between the transmission and the engine block above the oil pan on the rear(since the engine is sideways)just about the middle of the car. It has one bolt holding it in and it is a little hard to get out, careful not to break the bolt
It's just behind the harmonic balancer.
check crank sensor
On the 3.1L & 3.8L engines, the CMP sensor is located on the timing cover, behind the water pump, near the camshaft sprocket.
To replace the cam sensor on a 1991 Buick Regal with a 3.1L engine, first disconnect the negative battery terminal. Locate the cam sensor, which is typically found near the front of the engine, and unplug the electrical connector. Remove the mounting bolts and carefully take out the old sensor. Install the new sensor in the same position, secure it with the bolts, reconnect the electrical connector, and finally reconnect the battery.
3.1L dont have a crank sensor
