The crankshaft position sensor is on the top driver side of the transmission bell housing.
Usually a crankshaft sensor is located on the bellhousing of the transmission
Top driver side of the bell housing.
You can not. The crankshaft position sensor is required to run the engine.
It is in the distributor.
paste this into your browser...i could not get the link box to take.. but this should ansewr the question on the o2 sensor
No diagram is needed. It will be on the top left/right transmission bell housing.
The engine coolant temperature sensor is the sensor that is screwed into the thermostat housing on the top front of the engine.
The oil pressure sensor on a 1997 V8 is on the top rear of the engine next to the distributor.
If the crankshaft sensor is dead the engine will not start
The sensor is a hall effect sensor. Measuring resistance will not indicate a "pass/fail". You must test voltage of the sensor while cranking engine. You should see voltage change from 0.0v to 5.0v or see 2.5v on meters that have an averaging function.
yes same thing
The crankshaft sensor on a 4.0L Jeep Grand Cherokee is mounted on the top driver side of the transmission bell housing.
