EGR vavle is clogged go to "you tube" search "clean EGR "

remove engine cover. locate AIR MASS unit ( unit where fuel enters your engine-- -drivers side where air also flows into engine) the EGR valve is located right in front of AIR MASS unit. good luck
After removing an EGR valve from the vehicle, the valve can be flushed with carburetor cleaner. If the valve still sticks then a replacement will be needed.
A 2001 Dodge Ram does not have EGR.
