The blinker flasher is on the left side of the steering column under the dash. You can`t see it - you`ll have to feel around for it like i found out. Strange place for it but it`s there. Bob
The 1983 Ford flasher unit is located beneath the drivers side dashboard. The flasher unit simply plugs in and out.

To remove the flasher unit on a Ford Laser, first, locate the flasher relay, which is typically found in the fuse box under the dashboard or near the steering column. Disconnect the battery for safety, then gently pull the flasher unit out of its socket. If it’s secured with clips or screws, carefully remove those before lifting the unit out. Finally, replace it with a new flasher unit if needed, and reconnect the battery.
The flasher unit is located up and behind the fuse box. It is black with a socket that has @ 10 wires into it.

There is no flasher unit. Spray WD40 around 4way flasher switch on top of thesteering column. Operate switch a few times. Worked for me on my 94 T-Bird.
