A new fuel pump helped my 93 G20. Plus try a full tune-up.It could possibly be the fuel pressure regulator or clean or replace your injectors, or replace the O2 sensor.
In the fuel tank.
It is fuel injected.
Take off the upper intake, the regulator is on the backside of the fuel injector unit spider.
To determine if the fuel pump is bad on a 1987 Chevy G20, check for a lack of fuel pressure by using a fuel pressure gauge at the test port. Additionally, listen for a humming sound from the fuel tank when the ignition is turned on; if there's no sound, the pump may be faulty. Inspect the fuel pump relay and fuse for any issues, and look for signs of fuel leaks or damaged wiring. If these checks confirm no fuel delivery, the fuel pump likely needs replacement.
The fuel relay on a 1992 Chevy G20 5.7 liter, 350 is under the hood attached to the firewall at the top, just under the wind screen
You need to lower the fuel tank to get at it.
The fuel filter for a 1986 Chevy G20 should be mounted on the frame under the van. The filter is an inline type and should be easy to change.
On a 1994 Chevy G20 van, the fuel filter is typically located along the frame rail on the driver's side, near the rear of the vehicle. It can be mounted to the chassis or near the fuel tank. To access it, you may need to lift the van for better visibility and reach. Always ensure to relieve the fuel system pressure before attempting to replace the fuel filter.
The 1990 G20 Chevrolet Van fuel relay switch is located on the front of the fuel tank. The relay switch is next to the fuel pump.
