To replace the fuel pump on a 1992 Dodge Dakota, first, relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls. Next, disconnect the battery and drain the fuel tank. Remove the tank from the vehicle by unbolting it and disconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connections. Finally, replace the old fuel pump with a new one, reassemble the tank, and reconnect the battery and fuel relay.
