In the 2000 Lincoln LS, the fuse for the license plate lights is located in the fuse box, which is typically found in the engine compartment. You can refer to the fuse box cover or the owner's manual for the exact location and identification of the specific fuse. Look for a fuse labeled for the exterior lights or specifically for the license plate lights. If the fuse is blown, replacing it should restore functionality to the license plate lights.

In a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada, the fuse for the license plate bulb is located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. You'll need to remove the cover to access the fuses. Look for the fuse labeled "LPS" or "License Plate." If the fuse is blown, replacing it should restore functionality to the license plate bulb.
part 168
It is a simple white license plate with California in red cursive writing on the top. (that is the current one which has been used since about 2000 I think)
To remove the license plate lights on a 2000 Jaguar S-Type, first, open the trunk and locate the light assembly at the rear. Gently pry off the light housing using a flat tool or your fingers, being careful not to damage the surrounding area. Once the housing is loose, disconnect the wiring harness, and then remove the light bulb from the socket. Replace the bulb or the entire assembly as needed, and reattach it securely.
If your 2003 has features similar to my 2000, all the lights shut off with the key. The manufacturer has supplied a switch on top of the steering column to activate the parking lights when you are, well, parked. Check to see if that switch is turned on. --Ken
