The heater actuator on a 1998 Dodge van is typically located under the dashboard, near the passenger side, attached to the HVAC housing. To change it, you’ll need to remove the lower dash panel and possibly some other components to access the actuator. Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the actuator from its mounting point, then replace it with the new unit and reassemble the dashboard. Always refer to a repair manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
Remove the dash!
Changing the heater temp blend door actuator requires removal of the dash assembly. Big Job. You will need a shop manual to attempt that one.
Yes, that would be a good idea given the age of the truck.
You don't have a heater control valve for this truck.......
you must go to you local dealer and buy a heater box assmbly the door is not sold by itself.
This is my son-in-laws truck. I have to fix it
the heater core is bad
on the 1998 the camshaft sensor is in the distributor ,you have to change it....you have to change the whole distributor..the sensor is integrated. the crankshaft sensor is located on the block under the cruise control actuator
Heater cores in all vehicles are up under the dashboard inside the vehicle.
