its in the center of the dash up by the windshield there should be a small nob sticking out of the top of your dash by the defrost vents to remove it you will have to remove the entire dash bored witch would be a pain but if you lost or the truck did not come with a remot there are only 2 kind of remotes that will work if you take the truck to a dealer just have the try both until they find one that works that is what i did
My 1999 has it, so likely yes it was available in 2001
i found it just below the radio and above the air bag ecu.
It is in the side pocket were the jack is stored, just over the drivers rear wheel well.

To change the setting on the keyless entry for your 2001 Blazer, first, locate the keyless entry transmitter. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the "On" position, but do not start the engine. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on the transmitter while simultaneously pressing the "Lock" button three times within five seconds. This should reprogram the keyless entry settings; test it to ensure it works properly.
In a 2001 Ford Windstar SE, the remote keyless entry module is typically located under the dashboard, near the steering column or behind the glove compartment. You may need to remove some panels or the glove box to access it. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and safety precautions when locating and handling electronic modules.
The keyless entry code for a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport is typically located on a sticker inside the vehicle. You can often find it on the driver's side door jamb or on the computer module located under the driver's side dash. If it’s not there, the code may also be available in the owner's manual or by contacting a Ford dealer with your vehicle's VIN.
