I appologize if I am wrong, but I have never seen an "oil" cooler in a Windstar. This is usually a aftermarket kind of thing. The engine oil is cooled inside the engine from the radiator fluid that runs through the radiator. There is also a Transmission Fluid cooler and possibly a steering cooler. All these will be located near or around the radiator in the front of the engine compartment. Actually there are certain windstars that have an additional factory oil cooler. The model I have run into is the 1998 Northwoods edition windstar. It has a factory standard oil cooler system mush like what is seen in large trucks.
The engine oil dipstick is labeled and located at the front of the engine compartment
It is inside the oil pan on the bottom of the engine block.
Isn't it by the bumper? A remote oil cooler....
( 5W-30 ) is the preferred engine oil , according to the 1996 Ford Windstar Owner Guide
The oil pump is bolted to the bottom of the engine block INSIDE the oil pan on a 1995 Ford Windstar V6 engine
remove the alternator and bracket it is under the bracket
According to the 2000 Ford Windstar Owner Guide ( 5W-30 )
According to the 2002 Ford Windstar Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change ( 5.0 quarts )
3.0L - Bottom of engine mounted on the block, inside the oil pan. 3.8L - It's what the oil filter is screwed onto.
The oil pump is located on the bottom side of the timing cover. The oil filter is screwed onto the bottom part of the pump.
On the underside of the engine.
No there is no filter ur best bet will be a transmission flush at a oil change place
