Take the interior panel off that is located below the steering wheel, held in place with two screws.
if you don't own a chilton's manual, the easiest way to explain this is to look under the dash, just right of where the fuse panel is you should see 2 2 prong plugs.one is your blower fan relay, the other is your flasher(turn signal) relay.
On a 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport van, the flasher unit is typically located under the dashboard, near the steering column. It is often found in the fuse box or close to it, which is usually on the driver's side. To access it, you may need to remove a cover or panel. Check your owner’s manual for specific diagrams and locations for your model.
The signal flasher and the 4-way flasher are both located behind the plastic lower dash panel, aprox above the trans hump in floor. The plastic lower dash panel must be removed to gain access to the flashers.
change the flasher
The flasher on a 1994 Pontiac Trans Sport is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side. It is often mounted near the steering column or fuse box. Check your owner's manual or consult a repair guide for the exact location.

check for a burnt out bulb and if all the bulbs light it's possible you need a new turn signal flasher.
There are two...one that sends a signal to the gauge and one that sends a signal to the computer.

Inside the rear of the alternator
Probably in the 1997 Pontiac trans-am heater core valve holder. If not, you probably lost it. Both the valve, and your mind.
