To lower the spare tire on a GMC Envoy, first locate the spare tire tool kit, usually found in the rear storage compartment. Use the provided wrench to insert it into the access hole located beneath the rear of the vehicle. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to lower the tire until it is fully released from the mounting bracket. Once lowered, you can pull the tire out for use.
