Hi,
If you are referring to the Coolant Temperature Sensor, it is located just in front of the Thermostat Housing - on the driver side of the engine. It can be tough to spot, but I have a picture of its location (see attached link). The picture actually has an arrow pointing to the Bleed Screw, but just to the left of that you will see the CONNECTOR at the top of the sensor. That is the proper location.
Basically you can follow the top coolant hose from the radiator back to the engine and you will find it.

THE temp sending unit 4 the inside gauge usally has 1 wire & the sending unit 4 the Computer has 2 wires.

The 4.3 temp sending unit for the gauge is located in the drivers side head between spark plugs 3 & 5.
Could be the temp sending unit located on the driver's side head, between the #1 and # 3 spark plug.

The 95 Lumina with a 3.1 engine does not have a temperature sending unit. Instead, the dash temp gauge is controlled by the engine coolant temp sensor. This sensor is located on the driver's side, top of the engine.
