follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to the manifold I believe it is there in a housing that attaches to rear end of top radiator hose

The thermostat on a 1989 Nissan Sentra is on the front of the motor to the left. It is just below where the valve cover meets top of the manifold. The thermostat is enclosed in the radiator hose at that location.
hey ive got an 87 Nissan d21 with a z2.4L motor and the thermostat is located where at the end of the upper rad hose going into the motor. Its housed in a steel casing. you can't miss it if that's what motor your running.
Depends on the motor you have. If you have the 4.0 just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine and that's where it will be.
the thermostat is located on the outlet on top of the motor where the radiator hose is connected. remove the top radiator hose from the housing and there is two bolts holding the housing on the head of the motor, remove the bolts and you will find the thermostat. to replace just reverse the order in which it was taken off. hope this helps. john.

Follow the top radiator hose to the top of the motor and it should be fastened to a housing. The thermostat is inside this housing which comes off with two bolts. You may have to buy a gasket for this housing when you purchase the thermostat.
