i think, but don't hold me to this, on the driverside just below the air filter box. postioned to the torqconverter case next to the tranny. u can see a throttle cable attached to this position sensor if i am not mistaking this to a taurus...
There is a problem with the throttle posistion sensor
i found it easier to remove the throttle body to access the tps sensor. the screws can be somewhat difficult to loosen due to corrosion and position of the sensor.
Check the throttle position sensor
location of throttle position sensor

On a single cam ford focus 2000-2001 the cam position sensor is below the pcv valve. If looking at the engine it is on the right side, rear, about a 3inches from the top of the engine.
All that you need to do is unscrew if from the suction side and replace it...........
typically they are located on the air intake connected at the throttle body
The idle control sensor, also known as the throttle position sensor (TPS), on a Ford Focus is typically located on the throttle body. It is mounted directly on the throttle body assembly, which is found between the air intake and the engine's intake manifold. Depending on the model year, accessing it may require removing the air intake duct or other components for easier visibility and reach. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details related to your model.
no
the reason the throttle would be sticking on your focus is that it (the actual unit) could be dirty. or the throttle cable could have dirt in its casing. what you need too do is remove the throttle cable and spray engine degreaser in the casing and hang it up too let the dirt and grime drip from it. be sure to use wd-40 to relubricate the cable. now as of the throttle body do the same thing. but use a non abrasive cloth and wipe the unit clean. make sure there is no dirt in any small cracks or crevises.
The easiest way to reset the 2008 Ford focus low tire pressure sensor is to remove the fuse. Keep the fuse out for 10 seconds and then replace it to the original slot.
