It is located underneath between the transmission and driveshaft.
Does it have a full time transfer case? My 2000 durango has a full time transfer case, which means you have to keep it in 4WD.
Dodge didn't make a 1991 Durango.
The transfer case uses ATF.
get underneath and look for a transfer case to front end, there will also be driveaxles to eack front wheel assembly
There were two options the 242 and the 231
Rear axle, 75w90. Transfer case, atf+4.
Either turn the dashboard switch or move the transfer case lever to "4-High", and off you go
Two options: NV231 and NV242. There is a tag on the rear of the transfer case that will have the model number on it.
It bolts to the rear of the transmission. It is the part both driveshafts hook to.
