It is inside the trans, on the valve body. It is called a TRS,
rear left side of the transmission
The speed sensor screws into the side of the trans/axle on earlier Intrepid models, I would assume it's still there on a 99..... Yeah, I found the speed sensor, it was located on the back of transmission. Had little difficulty accessing it, but once replaced it, it fixed the problem.
It controls the operation of the transmission.
It can, but not always.
A temp sensor
Inside the trany. cover. need to drop the trany pan to get to it.
it is happened to to my car and I replaced the transmission range sensor. it is located on the top of the transmission at the left side of the battery. good luck
on top of the transmission
Yes it could. If you put power steering fluid in the transmission you need to change the transmission fluid.
My 98 intrepid would not shift out of second when one of the transmission sensors went out. I think it was about $125 to replace at the dealer. There is a second transmission sensor that went out at another time. The speedometer did not work then. Same price to fix.
Automatic: It is located above the transmission fluid filter on the front of the transmission. Manual: There is no Transmission fluid trmperature sensor for the Manual transaxle
No, completely different.No, completely different.
