Germany, by Carl Benz,---Some people credit French inventor Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot for the world's first car. In 1769, he built the first self-propelled vehicle: a steam tractor that traveled at 2.5 miles per hour.

In the 1830s, Robert Anderson of Scotland went on to build the first electric car. Benz of Germany had invented the first gasoline-powered car.

Henry Ford introduced the Model T car in 1908. A few years later, Ford created a conveyor-belt assembly line, which allowed the company to build vehicles faster. By 1914, a Model T could be made in about 90 minutes. good-day !
