In a 1981 Corvette, the fuse for the brake lights is typically located in the fuse panel under the dashboard on the driver's side. It is usually a 15-amp fuse, often labeled specifically for the brake lights. Always consult the owner's manual or the fuse panel cover for precise details, as designs may vary. If the brake lights are not functioning, checking this fuse should be one of the first troubleshooting steps.
