Maybe its your driver-side window regulator that stopped working.
Check the drivers side switch panel for the switch that locks out the passenger windows from working, make sure it is not on.
Replace driver's switch assembly
Sounds like a defective switch on the driver's door disconnected wires on either door or you have a lock out switch turned on... with driver door, i suggest pulling your "panel" off and verify your switch is actually connected and if it is, then replace the switch
Probably a bad switch in the drivers door.
Lock on driver frot side is not working
2007 Saturn ion passenager window wont go down replaced motor door switch & driver side main switch
Often the plug in connector at the drivers side switch can becaome loose and break the connection. Remove the switch and check this.
Hi, The problem with your pass side window is the drivers side power window switch. I have had this same problem on my 1993 Aerostar.
Check to see if you are getting power to the motor if so window motor is defective Could be open wire usually in the door jamb area
If the driver's side power window is not working while the passenger side functions properly, the issue could be due to a faulty window switch, a malfunctioning motor, or a loose wire. It's often most likely a problem with the switch, especially if other windows are operational. However, it's also possible that the motor has failed or that there is a wiring issue specific to the driver's side. A thorough inspection of the switch and wiring is recommended to diagnose the problem accurately.
Not sure which avalanche you have but I have the 03 Northface all you have to do to switch drivers is switch that remote you open the doors with.. On my friend's there was a driver one and driver two option on a button on the drivers door.
On Nissans, the passenger and both rear door window switches get their power through the master (drivers door) switch. First thing to try is playing with the master switch. Move the master switch button that is inop to the position that is not working and move it around with your finger. If this don't work, remove the master switch and clean the contacts, maybe with some silicon spray and then test if you have power leaving the switch. If not, the switch probably needs to be replaced. Have seen this happen on other cars and it has been the passenger door switch. It is most probably a double pole double throw switch and both sides of the switch need to work to make the window go both ways. Check the connections on the back of the switch and/or interchange it with one from another door. I think most likely a wiring fault at the passenger door switch and the drivers door switch have the same fault. Ken
