Sounds like a malfuntion in the heat blend door actuator call your local autozone for more info
I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer and it does the same thing. I would love to know why, but am glad mine's not the only one.
Drain the blazer radiator. Refill with water. Open the heat on high, start the engine for a few minutes. Drain the system again Repeat this several times to get all of the old coolant out.
My guess is fuel pump. Either that or a clogged fuel filter.
The fuel pump is shorting out and that is why the ecm fuse is blowing .Disconnect the the fuel pump and try it again,if the fuse blow's again then it is not the fuel pump.
I am trying to figure this out myself. I have a 96 Chevy S-10 Blazer and I believe it is the vacuum acuator located under the battery box in the engine compartment.
When stopped or < 3 MPH push the 4WD button again and the gree light should go off and put you in 2WD.
Was that the only code that caused you to replace it? Do you have it close enough to sense again.
I linked to this website of gas mileage figures already but just to cover all the bases, here it is again. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/1998_Chevrolet_Blazer.shtml
egr valve clogged or not working
The labor guide book gives 4 1/2 hrs. for a well trained mechanic to do. It has to be done right, are you will be doing it over again.
The 1990 Chevy Celebrity engine is distributorless, the ignition is handled by a combination of the engine control module(computer) and the ignition control module. You did not mention which engine the car has. If your car has the 4 cylinder engine the ignition control module is below the intake manifold at the rear of the engine. You can follow the spark plug wires to it. The coils are mounted to the ignition control module. If your car has the V6 the ignition control module is near the starter and again you can follow the spark plug wires to it. Again the coils are mounted to the ignition control module.
you have to find out what the code says is wrong and then fix it then it will go out on its own or try disconnecting the negative side of battery for about five minutes and it will go out as long as the problem is fixed or it will go on again
