The common reason why is a fuse blew.
Well if your turn signals still work its not a short. I just fixed a pinched wire on my 96 and now my turn signals dont work. But according to a buddy of mine on Clubintegra.com there is a chance the fuse for the hazards is blown.
It could be the turn signal bulbs, some vehicles use separate bulbs for the hazard and turn signals. It could also be a bad switch or wires for the turn signals.
if your turn signals dont work but your hazards do...check the fuse behind the radio.it looks like your hazard flasher.(should be blue, mine was).if not, make sure that the wires are fully seated in the ignition module on your steering column(its right below the ignition, that you put your key in)..if there loose, get a zip tie and secure it on the ignition module..

hazard switch dont lights on
If your turn signals aren't working but your hazard lights are, it typically indicates an issue with the turn signal circuit or switch. This could be due to a blown fuse, a faulty relay, or a problem with the turn signal bulbs themselves. It's important to address this issue promptly, as functioning turn signals are crucial for safe driving and communicating your intentions to other drivers. Consider checking the fuses and bulbs first, and if the problem persists, consult a mechanic for further diagnosis.
