I had a similar problem and it was a bad coil pak on my 2002 f-150. This is an individual coil attached to each cylinders' spark plug. My mechanic stated that the gap of the plug should be confirmed prior to firing the motor back up after replacement. If the gap is too large it puts a strain on the coil pak causing early failure. I have 60,000 miles on the truck.
will a gear shifter fork plate on 89 ford f150 work on 96 ford f150
A good majority of the 1984 Ford F150 gear ratio had 3.00 gears for the stock. In addition, the spline should be a 31.
they are gear to gear driven.
Mine is 3:55
Because you're NOT supposed to be in 5th gear at 35mph.
I have an 86 and it is. If first gear is not really low, it probably is.
Throttle position sensor mine was unplugged and caused that.
could be a worn pinion gear or bad U joint or both
I am not positive about this but, I believe that this indicates that the axle has a 3.00:1 gear ratio. Check with you local Ford dealer for a definitive answer.
When u are hauling heavy lOads turn it on and put ur vehicle in2nd gear
there should be an axle code or the door jam. Then you can call your local ford dealer and the can tell you, but some of the owner manuals had a list of the axle codes in them.
the trans will still shift into gear with a bad clutch you will find tho, sometimes this will not happen. usaully it is NOT indicative of other problems.
