Had the same problem. Exchange the LCM (Lighting Control Module), which is located under the steering column, togehter with the Mulitifunction Switch (turning lights, wiper control lever). This will stop the headlight problem, but I have some other difficulties with my lights - have a look at: http://www.2carpros.com/forum/2003-crown-vic-police,-headlights-shut-off-while-in-opera-vt90501.html
Headlights have a thermal circuit breaker. A short to the headlight (positive to ground) will cause the breaker to trip. The breaker cools and the lights come back on till the breaker heats up. Find the short and fix it.

Your car is really happy?or your cars antenna may be to blame, one of the door gaskets is broken, missing or misaligned.

You can continue to drive your 2005 Crown Victoria with a bad EGR valve for a limited time, but it's not advisable. A malfunctioning EGR valve can lead to increased emissions, reduced fuel efficiency, and potential engine damage over time. It's best to address the issue as soon as possible to avoid further complications. Regular monitoring of engine performance and any warning lights is recommended while driving with this issue.
my 1993 crown vic shut off with out warning while at stop light only once in a while
The Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Marauder are both full-size sedans from Ford Motor Company, but they cater to different markets. The Crown Victoria, produced primarily for fleet use and as a police vehicle, is known for its durability and spacious interior. In contrast, the Mercury Marauder, which is a performance-oriented variant, features a more aggressive styling and a more powerful V8 engine, aimed at enthusiasts looking for a sportier driving experience. Overall, the Marauder is designed for performance and style, while the Crown Victoria emphasizes reliability and practicality.
