Hi,
It could mean that they need changing, but on my Escort when the emergency brake lever is pulled up just a notch or two, even though it's not actually engaged, the brake light lights up. Try releasing the brake lever and see if that solves the problem.
Hope it helps,
Cubby
Hi,
The emergency brake lever may be engaged by a notch or two causing the light to come on. Try releasing the brake handle and see if that clears it up. If not, then it's probably time to visit your favorite mechanic.
Hope this helps,

Hi. If the brakes are sticking on it won't be the servo thats at fault it's sound more like the calipers need cleaning.
The brake pads could be worn out
There could be several reasons why the brakes won't release on your car. It could be due to a problem with the brake calipers, brake pads, brake fluid, or the brake system itself. It is important to have a professional mechanic inspect and diagnose the issue to ensure safe and proper functioning of your brakes.
There could be many reasons. Did you do the work yourself? If not, take your car back to the shop. If so, did you remember to bleed the brakes? Air bubbles in the brake line could be the problem...
Could be low on brake fluid which indicates your brakes need attention. Have a trusted mechanic inspect the brakes NOW!
There could be an issue with the anti lock brakes if it equipped with them. It could also be that the brake fluid is low or the switch for the emergency brake is broken.
Could be contaminated brake fluid
what you have could be one of three problems. Check your reservoir to see if it has plenty of brake fluid, bleed your brakes, they may of lost the fluid while changing brakes. Also, if you have a vacuum leak it will cause your brakes not to work. Or it could be your master cylinder or your vacuum booster that has went bad. brewski
Not really an answer, but another question... did you bleed the brakes after you changed them? I remember that is a critical step, NOT to be missed when working on the brakes. Hope this helps.
A problem has been detected with the ( Antilock Brake System ) It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem As long as the red " BRAKE " light in your dash is not on , you still have " normal " brakes
have you checked your brake fluid??
The scraping noise from your bike's disc brakes could be caused by misalignment of the brake pads, contamination on the rotor or pads, or worn brake pads.
