Most likely a short somewhere in the wiring, and possibly in the pump itself. $$$$$
Try unplugging your AC compressor and see if it still blows the fuse. When you turn on your defrosters you also turn on your AC.
check the blower fuse if the fuse is good the blower motor is bad or else you have short
A/C does not blow cold
this is because you have a short in either the the ac circuit or the fan/blower circuit. You'll know know which one by turning the fan on without the ac, and if it doesn't blow the fuse then you know it's the ac circuit.
What would cause your fuse to blow when you turn on your lights on your 1993 mazda 323 the fuse to the tail lights on dash lights blow?
Fully charged? Bad pressure switch on accumulator/drier? Blow fuse?
A bad diode can cause the 10a fuse to blow. (it looks like a fuse that is located above and left of the AC fuse)
If this is the case, try disconnecting the ac compressor. If not that, it could be in the 'master switch' (turn signal lever unit). Does anything else go out along with the turn signals? Does it only happen when you turn on the heater or ac?
1981 240 volvo #5 fuse blow when i try to start the car....
If your AC unit fuse keeps blowing, you should first try replacing the fuse with one of the correct rating. If the fuse continues to blow, it may indicate a more serious issue with the AC unit that requires professional inspection and repair.
Ac connector at ac pump I pull out connector and jump connector and blow out the ac fuse. I change out the ac fuse and the ac pump not engaging. What other problem could it be? The ac was working before I did this. Please help. Any help thanks.
You have a short in the wiring or switch. Use either an ohm or multi meter to trace it out. Start at the switch and work back toward the fan fuse connection.
