same happen to me win i droped a new motor in my 2000 jimmy what i did is you you turn the key to acc and leave it for a bout ten to 15 min your security light should have stoped blikin to your car turn off and it should start up
The factory alarm causing the issue would be the security light flashing above the RPM guage. If the security light is flashing and the car will not start, follow the directions listed below. To reset the factory alarm, turn the ignition switch to the "on" position NOT the start position for 15min. You will see the security light go off after 15min.
why? did your car was stolen and you replaced the factory steering column with a salvaged fire bird steering column now your car wont start or even turn over and the security light stays on why?
It could be the factory security system, is the light (security) flashing? *depends on what it is doing. dead start, clicking, battery connection bad or battery dying/dead; sputtering, almost starting without sparking, the fuel pressure is low and needs to build before it starts; bad injector system, fuel pump, clogged fuel filter.
are you using the factory key? they have security chips in them.
if the light goes off it's probably the starter...
security light on 1998 s10 start but cut off
ANWSER
Not enough information regarding why the car won't start but as to he security light; it's always blinking when the engine is off.
The red light indicates a failure in the security system. It will not start with a failure.
factory security system. bad key, bad ign lock cylinder, switch etc. Get a test light, and check if you have voltage to the starter in the "start position". the runner is bad
security light keep flashing put new starter on still will not crank
is your security light flashing? turn the key on, leave on for 10 mins, turn key off let it sit for 2 mins, start car
