the coupler is probably worn out. replace it and the oil and it should be fine. if not then the bearing are bad but most of the time its just the coupler.

Very simply, the GT has a 3.8L v6, and the GTP has the exact same 3.8L with a supercharger on it that adds about 40 HP.
A 1999 Grand Prix GTP uses an EATON M90 supercharger that displaces 90 cubic inches of air during every revolution. This results in a rating of 240 horsepower at the crank at 5200RPM, and a "pavement pounding" 280ft-lb of torque at 3600RPM!

The 1999 Pontiac Grand Am AIT sensor is located on the outside of the air filter housing. The sensor will be on the back of the housing.
Why wouldn't it? There is NO difference between a 1999 and a 2000, as of right this second i have a 1999 Pontiac grand am with a 3.4 liter (what your looking at right now) and built it from ground up. I know plenty about cars.
