It may need to be replaced. The sensor is located at the very front of the car on the pass. side. away from all the heat and as close to the ground to get a normal outside temp. if you lay on your back from the center of the car and just slide under the front fender you will see a sensor attached to the front plastic pannel just to your right a little It is held on by a plastic barb thingie Just pull it out, unplug it, plug new sensor in, push barb back in hole. Shouldnt take longer than a minute. (courtesy of another posting) Hope this helps. "G"
Likely a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Change the sensor.
it changes the temp. by the temperature outside, like if its cold out the water will be cold and if it's hot outside than the water will be hot
It is cold, hot, humid, etc. Answers may vary.
The thermonator has a temperature sensor.
Suspect a defective temperature sensor-- the one that talks to the car computer. It is not telling the computer it is cold outside, and not enough fuel is added to allow startup when cold. Suggest replace the temp sensor.
The temperature threshold at which it becomes too cold to paint outside is typically around 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
temperature sensor is bad
The computer monitors the outside temperature through the sensor and will not activate the a/c when the temperature reading is too cold. It is not an expensive part but shop labour can be expensive. With the sensor replaced and reading proper the a/c function should return to normal. Hope this helps. "G"
temperature
The outside temperature affects the body temperature because it the body temperature will try to regulate itself. For example, if the temperature outside is cold, the body will generate heat as much as possible to maintain a core temperature.
Windows can get so cold that they break. If the temperature outside is very cold and the temperature inside is warm it can lead to windows cracking.
It is easier and cheaper to replace the temperature sensor--try that first
