Could be a bad temperature sending unit or a bad gauge the fiero was wired wrong from the factory when you turn the key all the dummy lights should com on but they dont (over heating light) in stead the temp guage seings to the right fiercely and normally breaks off after thousands of miles on the net there ius a way to rewire this take the plug off the temperature switch and run a wire from the plug to ground and with your key in the on position your gauge should go all the way hot. if it does then your switch is bad replace it. if it doesn't then it may be the wiring or the gauge.
What are you talking about? My temperature gauge works fine. Though, if it wasn't I would check the temperature sending unit.
More then likely you need to replace the Thermostat.
There should be a second sensor, located near the exhaust manifold. One snesor controls the fan, the other controls the gauge.
Bad gauge or defective coolant temperature sensor
you need a newvoltage reducer
I don't think it has a IAT sensor, but it does have a temperature vacuum switch to work the heated air door.
If it gets to hot the thermostat wont work. you need to repace it and the gauge will work again.
Why does the temperature gauge on your 2001 malibu not work and the cooling fans run all the time?
The temperature gauge will not work on a 1984 GMC Sierra truck if the sending unit is defective or the wiring has come loose. It is also possible for the gauge itself to fail, but this is less common.
temperature gauge not working can be caused by a bad temp sensor in engine, a bad gauge in dash, or a bad fuse
Check to make sure that the temperature sensor is good. A bad sensor is commonly the cause of the temperature gauge not working.
only 3 reasons a temp gauge wont work the temp sender is bad the gauge is bad or the wire from temp sender to gauge is broken
