Bad gauge or defective coolant temperature sensor
Because car manufacturers design their products to function.
Not sure what you really mean but if temp of heat does not change = likely bad thermostat etc. If gauge does not work at all but heat is fine then gauge or electrical type problem to the gauge
If the temperature gauge and heat only work while the engine is idling, it may indicate a problem with the cooling system, such as a malfunctioning thermostat that is stuck open, preventing the engine from reaching optimal operating temperature. Additionally, low coolant levels or a failing water pump could impede proper circulation, affecting heat output. When idling, the engine runs at a lower RPM, which can sometimes allow for temporary heat buildup, but once the vehicle is in motion, the cooling system may not function effectively, leading to a drop in heat and gauge readings.
you need a newvoltage reducer
If only the temperature gauge does not work, then a fuse is not the problem. Be sure that the radiator is full. If not you will need to fill it as the temperature sender needs water around it in order to have something to sense. If it is full then take it to a repair shop and have them check it out.
If it gets to hot the thermostat wont work. you need to repace it and the gauge will work again.
A temperature gauge on a 1992 Chevy van may not work due to several reasons, including a faulty temperature sending unit, a broken gauge, or damaged wiring and connectors. Additionally, low coolant levels or issues with the engine's cooling system can prevent the gauge from reading accurately. If the gauge itself is malfunctioning, replacing it or the sending unit is often necessary to restore proper function. Checking the vehicle's fuse related to the gauge may also be a good first step.
Why does the temperature gauge on your 2001 malibu not work and the cooling fans run all the time?
What are you talking about? My temperature gauge works fine. Though, if it wasn't I would check the temperature sending unit.
The temperature gauge will not work on a 1984 GMC Sierra truck if the sending unit is defective or the wiring has come loose. It is also possible for the gauge itself to fail, but this is less common.
The temperature gauge is broken or not calibrated. You need to have your heater or thermostat regulated and/or looked at.
temperature gauge not working can be caused by a bad temp sensor in engine, a bad gauge in dash, or a bad fuse
