Check the fuel level sensor. It's in the tank, attached to the fuel sending module. If you need to replace it, you'll have to drop the gas tank, carefully remove the retaining ring around the fuel sender, and pull the whole unit out. You can then remove the level sensor from it.
fuel gauge, speedomiter on instrument panel doesnt work on car and keeps stalling
The bulb.
Why does the temperature gauge on your 2001 malibu not work and the cooling fans run all the time?
More then likely you need to replace the Thermostat.
Get it fixed.
Yes, it will work just like any other vehicle.
With my 2001 LeSabre the gauge would not work properly, it worked erratically. I wasn't sure if it was the sender or the gauge but I reasoned that the gauge seemed to work properly for a portion of the fuel level range so it was probably the sending unit; were it the gauge I reasoned it would not work properly at all. The sending unit and gauge are both electronic devices so a poor connection might also be a problem. In my case since the system did seem to work systematically for a portion of the range I again reasoned that the wiring was functioning properly. I picked up a complete replacement unit at a local junkyard and had it done pretty quickly. There is an access panel in the trunk floor which allows removal and replacement of the whole sender assembly. The sender assembly has a locking ring which must be turned to release the assembly.
The problem could be a dirty sensor or the sender is no good.
1984, Corvette the fuel gauge stays at 1/2 full all the time. Plaese help.
What are you talking about? My temperature gauge works fine. Though, if it wasn't I would check the temperature sending unit.
Remove the gauge and check the ground. Probably your issue. Jeeps are known for having "floater" gauges. If that doesnt work buy a new oil pressure gauge.
might be a bad fuel sender unit or BCM
