This happened in my '88 Sierra awhile back, take a look up underneath the rear of the truck for a wiring hub of sorts (mine was on the driver's side) a little above the rear bumper (if you just follow the wires from the taillights you'll find it) mine was kinda a "T" shape, due to trailer plug wiring. regardless, squeeze all the connections together and the lights should work. if needed, use a zip-tie to hold the hubs together tightly, this will prevent the problem from reoccurring.
