Saab 900 almost stalls when gas pedal revs up in park?

If the vehicle drives fine, then it is the ECU protecting your engine/drivetrain. Engineers add this to the ECU to keep the geniuses of our society from over revving the engine or revving it high and dumping it into drive. It is there for a reason, so be happy it works.

When you accelerate the engine revs past your shift points?

Revving your engine past its shift points is never a good idea. Unless you are on a track day, revving your engine past its limits not only means consuming more gas, but your car starts revving heavily and if you continue to do so, you will damage your transfer case.

Why doesn't my engine ref up in a dodge charger when i press the gas?

It will only rev so far in park or neutral as the computer keeps the engine from revving too high without a load on it to keep from doing damage.

What is the engine life of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado?

i have 291,000 on my 99 with the 4.8L and have no problems so far with the engine.

Why does your quad rev so high?

A quad may rev high due to several factors, including engine design, tuning, and the need for power in off-road conditions. High-revving engines often produce more horsepower at elevated RPMs, allowing for better acceleration and responsiveness. Additionally, the gearing and weight of the quad can contribute to higher RPMs during operation. If the quad is revving excessively, it could also indicate issues such as a malfunctioning throttle or an improperly adjusted carburetor.

What is hp rating on 02 suzuki xl7?

The 2002 is the same engine as my 2001, and it was 175 HP. I now have a 2006 and it has a different exhaust and intake manifold tuning and now has 180 HP. It is a small, high-revving, low-torque engine and doesn't make any useful power until you rev it to around 3000-3500 RPM, which is why the engine RPM is so high on the highway, and why it uses more fuel compared to some other small SUVs.

Yes reving a car or any engine with valves can mess up the engine you?

If I understand correctly, you mean that if you rev up high any engine with valves on it, shall you mess up the engine? My answer is no, and yes. Bear with me.... an engine uses valves to control the intake of fuel and expulsion of exhaust, if you rev it up, you won't damge the valves instantly, so you can do that. But if you leave the engine revved up high, or keep it revving high for a long time, keep in mind that the valves are opening and closing many times per second (try 50 times per second), therefore the valves will start wearing, and yes you will eventually mess it up. Hope my response helped...

Where is the low-side port on a 1988 Chevy Silverado K1500?

I assume you are referring to the A/C. If so it should be on the passenger side of the engine. Don't no much about a Silverado of that year, but, the easiest way is to look for a blue cap. Red is high pressure and blue is the low side. Hope this helps. V/R SSG Sadosky Armymech/Fordtech

Will your car explode if you use the wrong type of gas?

If you are asking if it will tear up engine then the answer is yes. As far as exploding not that I am aware of unless you feel a engine revving up so high on NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) or methanol that it throws a piston/rod through the engine. I have been told too much ethanol will break the fuel pump and I know if you put diesel in a gas engine it will foul out and quit. Now a methanol engine on a dragster can blow up if it breaks down during races so that part is true. It all comes down to what type of engine and what type of fuel you are talking about.

Why is there oil in the radiator of a bobcat 310?

Oil in the radiator will usually only come from either the engine, power steering or hydraulic oil cooler. Check the various for low fluid levels and you will have partly diagnosed which system has the fault. depending on where the fluid is coming from will determine the course of action for rectification. Bobcats are usually high revving so check that the engine oil is at least half way up the dipstick

Why is your corsa overheating and revving at idle?

More information needed here I think so just some guesswork follows. If a hot engine is left idling after a run,the temperature guage will rise due to heat rising from all the hot components and no ram air through the engine compartment, the electric fan will cut in and out(is this the "revving"you hear). If your engine is running hot when driving along,it is most likely the thermostat is stuck in closed position, this needs rapid attention or engine damage can result.Check coolant level when cold and if you have to drive it,keep the heater set hot to increase the amount of coolant in circulation.

What kind of oil for a 1.7 or 2.0 engine?

It depends a lot on the engine. 1.7 suggests Honda, which means full synthetic is the best choice. But is an enormous number of 2.0 engines, very different from each other, so it's impossible to say. If it's nothing very advanced (such as a turbo, or a very high-revving unit), full synthetic will do (though it may be overkill). Oil is cheap. Don't skimp.
