I think in 1999 the Chevy silverado change body styles and are 6 lug my dad has a 2000 and its a 6 lug the 1988 to 1998 2 wheel drives are 5 lug and fit each other but I think 99 was the change over year and I belive 1988 to 98 4x4 where 6 lug.
You only change the fuel pump when it fails. But do change the fuel filter every 50,000 miles.
Bleed the Freak was created in 1988-12.
1988 to 1998 silverado pickup trucks all had disc brakes in the front with drum brakes on the back. When they restyled to the newer body style in 1999, some early models still had drums on the back. Eventually in the later part of 1999 thru 2002 they went to disc brakes on the back. However, in 2003 they swapped back over to drum brakes on the back due to a recall of some sort, I belive, but not sure. When they restyled the silverado truck line, from 2003 to early 2007 they all had disc up front and drum in the rear. Currently that is the brake setup on 2009 trucks. I have yet to actually look at the 2010 silverado or gmc Sierra.
