There are several potential reasons why a 1995 Ford Aspire won't go into third gear. Common issues include low Transmission Fluid levels, a malfunctioning shift linkage, or internal transmission problems such as worn-out gears or a failing clutch. It’s also possible that the transmission control module (if equipped) is malfunctioning. A thorough inspection by a qualified mechanic is recommended to diagnose the exact cause.
on transmission there is a 10mm screw with a cable running to it remove screw and gear and use gear as dipstick
Idk all of them, but I installed a tach in my 97 aspire, and 65 mph in third gear is at about 6k rpm. idk what the redline even is, so i hardly ever take it past 5.5k. lol.

Why wont my 1994 Ford Taurus GL 6cyl Auto transmission shift into third(high) gear. It will only reach speeds of about 35mph +/-
my 97 aspire did this had it checked out and all tha was wrong was my timing was off and had to be adjusted
Because its a Chevy corsica not a ford corsica!!!!!
If a vehicle, manual or automatic, does not shift into a certain gear, there may be a problem with that gear. Gears get worn and need replacing in a vehicle's lifetime.
The 1997 Ford Aspire owners manual ( view on-line at www . motorcraft service . com - no spaces - click on Owner Guides ) shows Motorcraft MERCON for the automatic and manual transaxles . Approximate capacity for the manual transaxle is ( 5.2 quarts / 4.9 liters )
Yes it is possible, especially if it was not fully in gear and a manual transmission. If it is an automatic, it must be in Park to hold. Always set the parking brake.
It wants to go to third and fourth gear as the road speed increases so as to allow the engine to run at a more optimum speed.
No, the fly wheel is different and so is the gear ratio and the mounts will not line up.
