Probably needs new ignition wires
Take the blazer to a local autozone to have the battery tested for FREE! but the blazer would not start if it sat for a couple days or so. also it would start hard, but once it started it would run fine.
fuel pump may have a bad check valve
The engine coolant sensor could be at fault.
I had this problem with mine (1995 Civic) and after the 3rd mechanic got it, all he did was replace the computer and it works fine. The others had no clue there was a computer on board.
Once you disconnect the battery ground for a few minutes the computer will reset. The car will run rough for a few minutes during start-up while it re-learns its parameters; then it will be be fine as long as there are no other trouble codes in the system.

A faulty coolant temp sensor can do that.
It is mounted on the back of your hood release latch in front of the rad. You may have to pull the grille off to see it, the grilles only held on with clips so its fine.
Fine Tuning was created in 2001.
Dot 3 will be just fine.
An 86 Blazer does not use a special type of brake fluid. Standard fluid from any auto parts will work fine.
