Assuming it is getting fuel and you have no spark, replace the ignition module.
To change the spark plugs and wires on a 1991 Mercury Capri, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the spark plug wires by pulling them off the plugs, taking care not to damage them, and note their order for reinstallation. Use a spark plug socket to unscrew and remove the old spark plugs, then install the new plugs, tightening them to the specified torque. Finally, attach the new spark plug wires according to the original order and reconnect the battery.

With a socket for removing plugs. The wires should just slip off and need to be replaced with the exact same length.
Bad plugs and wires or/and coil
Start with the ign. wires and the spark plugs.
Screwed into the engine. Follow the spark plug wires.
Check all of the plug wires. Make sure they are all routed correctly, and on tight. If that is all good then perhaps the timing belt is off by a tooth or two.
Pull off the upper intake plenum and you will have access to the plugs and wires.
