In the trunk ,on the right side there is a 3"diameter at the base of the antenna wheel that carries the nylon string or rope that winds up the antenna. That has to be replaced... Measure the length and replace with a length of grass trimming nylon .. I don't believe that GM used inertia switchs on their cars. That's Ford. GM uses a simpler, and better system. If there is no oil pressure, the fuel system wont turn on.
The most common problem is a bad fuse.
First thing for any automobile - check the battery - may be dead.

There is a module on the right rear pillar of the car. If you are sitting in the back seat on the passenger side it is behind the plastic above your right shoulder and you will see the wires going to it. you need to remove the plastic and it will be there. It costs about $65-70 at the dealer.Your antenna also plugs into it.
