To remove the ignition switch from a 1998 Honda Passport, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts. Then, remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place. Once the cover is off, locate the ignition switch assembly, disconnect the wiring harness, and remove the mounting screws to take out the ignition switch. Finally, carefully pull the switch out from its housing.
