odds are the sensor needs to be replaced
No.
I have a 240 and with the knock sensor unplugged it will still start so I would have to say no.
Code 23 in your 1993 Chevy Blazer is referring to the Manifold Air temp sensor being out of range. Start by looking for the sensor to see if it is unplugged.
The Map sensor tells the fuel injector how much fuel the engine needs. If not plugged in, it might start and run for a few seconds, since it usually runs rich to start, but then the computer will not know how much fuel to output, therefore it will stall
Technically yes, although whether it will have any effect or not will depend on how long they were unplugged. At most a few minutes before cells start being damaged by lack of oxygen.
a motor needs fuel, spark, and air to run. Check your plugs, unplugged sensor wires, distributer cap.
the lights flash in sequence to show dtc's (diagnostic trouble codes)count the #of flashes and that is the # of the codefor example if u r having a problem w/fuel inj. or main relayu should get 16 flashes then about a 3 sec pause then the code willrepeat unless there is more than one code so watch closelyevery 3 sec pause indicates the start of next codeTo find out what each code means, check this table:1) Primary oxygen sensor- Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor2) Oxygen sensor "B" - Defective circiut or unplugged/ Defective sensor3) MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Sensor4) CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor5) MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor -Mechanical problem/ Disconnected piping6) ECT ( Engine Coolant Temperature) Sensor- Defective circuit or unplugged/ Sensor7) TP (Throttle Position) Sensor -Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor8) TDC (Top Dead Centre) Sensor -Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor9) CYP (Cylinder) - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor10) IAT (Intake Air Temperature)sensor- Defective circuit or unplugged/Defective sensor12) EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) -Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor13) Atmospheric Pressure Sensor - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor14) IAC (Intake Air Control) Valve- Defective circuit or unplugged / Defective sensor15) Ignition Output Signal - Missing or defective ignition output signal16) Fuel Injector System - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective fuel injector17) VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) - Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective sensor19) Automatic transmission lockup control Solenoid Valve- Defective circuit or unplugged/ Defective solenoid. when it does not start disconect your cts (colant temperature sensor )and then start if it starts replace your cts
On newer fuel injected cars when the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (M.A.P sensor) goes bad it will cause the car to fire up but then quickly stall. Unplug the MAP sensor and then try starting the car, if it will stay running with it unplugged it is the culprit (don't try and drive around with it unplugged though, it will run terrible and get horrible milage) This is just one of many possible causes
Unless the EGR position sensor is shorting out the 5V reference, NO. If you suspect the sensor, simply unplug it & see if the starts.
First I would go with the fuel pump and the fuel filter. Check the vacuume lines. You may have unplugged crossed or not plugged something back in.
It depends on what you mean by not in use. You may unplug your refrigerator if there is absolutely no perishable food inside.
