A 2004 Ford Explorer that cranks but won't start could be experiencing issues related to fuel delivery, such as a clogged fuel filter or a failing fuel pump. Additionally, problems with the ignition system, like faulty spark plugs or ignition coils, could prevent the engine from firing. Electrical issues, such as a dead battery or malfunctioning sensors, might also be contributing factors. Diagnosing the problem typically requires checking fuel pressure, spark, and error codes from the vehicle's computer.
Do you mean no crank/no start or crank/no start.... to put it simply, does the engine turn over?
the crankshaft sensor is located behind the crank pulley. the bottom pulley
A loose belt on the motor.
No, the internal tone wheels for the cam and crank sensors are different. The engine would not start.
i got no spark from coils and the efi fuse and relay are good. what other possibilities are there for a crank ,no start 04 corolla?
From my experience, If your crank sensors bad the car will not start up at all.
Have you had the vehicle code read. if not, check the crank sensor for position they do have a tendancy to move. getting it code read would be the first option though.
