Bulbs burnt out? Bad hi-low beam switch? Voltage spike?
Both headlights might be out on your 2001 Ford Escape because you have blown a fuse or several fuses. You also might have light bulbs that have burned out.
The correct grammar would be "Why would both of your headlights blow out at the same time".
A reset button for headlights?
Yes, I would start with the fuse.
Both '01 and '02 headlights will fit the '02, headlights from '99 or '00 will not as they are longer and would not fit in the same space.
fuse
short circuits in the turn signal and brake light circuits
The headlights of a Ford Windstar may have problems going on if they are burnt out or if there is a wiring problem. Blowing a headlight fuse will also lead to both lights not working.
Switch? both headlights?
if both headlights went put it is probably a blown fuse
The horn relay is in the fuse box by the passengers left foot. Not sure how to get at it though
To adjust the headlights on a 2001 Chevy Tracker, park the vehicle on a level surface facing a wall about 10-25 feet away. Turn on the headlights and mark the center of the light beams on the wall with tape. Adjust the vertical and horizontal screws on the headlight assembly until the top of the beam is at or just below the tape mark and the beam is centered. Repeat for both headlights to ensure proper alignment.
