Yes, a tire labeled 235/55 R17 will fit a 17-inch rim, as the "R17" indicates that the tire is designed for 17-inch wheels. The "235" refers to the tire's width in millimeters, and "55" is the aspect ratio, meaning the tire's sidewall height is 55% of its width. However, it's important to ensure that your vehicle can accommodate this tire size for proper fitment and performance. Always consult your vehicle's specifications or a tire professional if in doubt.
They will fit on your rims, however they may be too big for your wheel wells.
235/45/17 OR 215/55/17
Yes, a 235/65 R17 tire can fit in place of a 235/55 R17, but it will change the overall diameter and height of the tire. The 65 aspect ratio means the sidewall is taller, resulting in a larger overall diameter, which can affect speedometer readings, fuel economy, and handling. Additionally, the increased tire height may cause clearance issues in the wheel well, particularly when turning or under load. Always consult a tire professional or your vehicle's manual before making such changes.
No 16 inch tire will fit on a 17 inch wheel.
No, you cannot use 235/65 R16 tires on a vehicle that requires 235/60 R17 tires without significant issues. The first number indicates the tire width in millimeters, the second represents the aspect ratio (height to width), and the last indicates the rim diameter in inches. Since the rim size is different (16 inches versus 17 inches), the tires will not fit properly on the rims, leading to safety and performance concerns. Always use the tire specifications recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Yes all four or 2 in the same axle.might not be manufactures specification but it works great
Lots of vehicles.
Doubtful. There is a large height and width difference.
You can install 235/50-17 or 215/60-17 and that is about the only sizes you should use.
I Have just bought mags with 235 / 45 R17 97W tyres - for my 2000 VW Golf - the wheel bolts are 5 / 100 and offset is 32-45 apparently normally tyres used for falcon or firebird.. i have been told the wheels are ok but the width e.g 235 is too big for golf and will adversely affect the steering - they advised a 215 or less / 45
Which model is it? 2.5i/limited/Premium, etc.?
