Kijiji has a number of deals for used 2007 Chevy Silverado's in Toronto. Edmunds and Auto Trader also have similar deals in Toronto. Prices seem to range from $9,000 to $15,000.
I just had the switch replaced in my 1996 Silverado. They had to disconnect the steering column from the dash to get at the switch. I changed mine on a 1998 3500 in about 10 minutes, brake switch is located on top of steering column, between brake linkage and dash, pop off the black clip with a small screwdriver, disconnect electrical plug and reverse installation.
If it is working it is OK, look elswhere for your problem, the transfer case might not be engaging but i can't help you with that.
1-2-3-4-5-6 Yes, that is correct as odd as it may seem. Easy to remember isn't it? Click the link I posted.
autozone.com is an excellent resource for finding repair guides, diagrams and trouble shooting. It would be my first recomendation. They have an impressive library of online repair guides which seem to be copied straight from chilton's manuals.
I am not familiar with advance auto, but in general:The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ takes 22" replacement windshield wiper blades on both sides front and they are NOT the most common hook type wiper arms. Note, when buying wipers be sure to always lookup your vehicle make, model and year in the application guide book at the store, or now-a-days you can Google 'lookup wiper size'.You want to look this up because correct wiper fit is more than correct length, it's also proper attachment. Not all attachments fit all arms. Using the application guide or looking up wiper size online will avoid headaches of buying the right lengths with the wrong attachments.
In my opinion, Silblade makes very good windshield wipers. They seem to last longer than most other brands of windshield wipers, based on my experience. I've used this brand in all the cars I own when it comes time to replace the wipers. They are actually very durable and last a while. Another alternative is the Trico NeoForm Beam Blade. Absolutely love them. See sources and related links below.

There are many resources where one can find Chevy Cobalt reviews. One can find this information from many online consumer reports. The general consensus of the Chevy Cobalt seem to be positive.
I have the same problem with my 98 astro. I am no mechanic, but through my online research I found the wiper delay circuit boards seem to have issues. One site said the part was $50 from Gm and installs very easily with 3 torx bolts. Hope this helps!
I had to take my latch apart and lube it up really good.
If the turn signals are not working properly on a 2002 Chevy Venture and the fuses seem to be alright, check for burned out bulbs in the turn signals. Also, check to make sure the turn signal flasher is working properly.
