Check for power coming out of your headlamp switch. It may be bad.

check fuse 4 or 5 under the hood, i can almost promise its blown, i had the same problem. my plate lights, tailights and dash lights didnt work.
Had the same problem. Check the wiring on the backup light switch at the transmission. Connection, chaffing, bare wires etc. Fixed mine!

Check the sensor that is attached to the transmission. The other possibility is that the motor inside of the speedometer is broken. That happened to me on my 93 Wrangler. Went to the junkyard and got another instrument cluster.
