Check the fuses. Parking lights/tailights/dash lights should be a common circuit Check the fuses. Parking lights/tailights/dash lights should be a common circuit I had the same problum last year and had to replace the wires.
In a 2001 Aurora, low beam headlights and running lights are not the same. Low beam headlights provide illumination for driving at night or in low visibility conditions, while running lights, also known as daytime running lights, are designed to increase the vehicle's visibility to others during the day. The two systems operate independently and serve different purposes in vehicle lighting.
There are many reasons why he driver's heated seat work when the headlights are on in an Aurora. The wiring might be messed up.
Flickering headlights in a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora could be caused by several issues, such as a failing alternator that isn't providing consistent voltage, loose or corroded wiring connections, or a weak battery that can't maintain a stable charge. Additionally, a faulty headlight relay or a malfunctioning dimmer switch could also lead to inconsistent power delivery to the headlights. It's advisable to check these components systematically to diagnose the underlying problem.
i would have the light switch checked to see if it is faulty
i did have same problem on my 95 aurora i have replace ignition coils sparkplugs and wires that solve my problem
I have a 1999 Aurora and it had the same proble. The cure? My local Speedy Muffler shop (of which I don't patronize anymore) charged me a total of $995 to replace the part on the car which regulates the daytime running lamps. The manager said the part was $600 (I admit to never checking this but felt ripped off so hence I stopped using that shop). Since the repair (done in August 2008) the problem has been solved.
Normal Running temp is 200 degees.
Open the hood and you will find 2 bolts to remove the entire headlight assembly. You can then replace the bulb.
cant find the battery
Could be a problem with one of the coils. It has 4
REPLACE THE TURN SIGNAL UNIT (THE ITEM THAT YOU FLIP TO TURN THE SIGNALS ON) I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND YOU HAVE A SHORT IN THE UNIT AND THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK
Remember, the Aurora must ALWAYS run with the air conditioning on. Refer to your owners manual. The Aurora front end design requires the need for the ac always running
