Simply remove the black piece from your ignition.(its a black cap)..and when removed you will see a small red button..if you see that push that and press the "push" black button, turn your key and pop it out.

This can be attributed to a couple of things. In order to remove the key you can remove the plastic piece under the ignition switch to expose a key release button. OR you can drill out the small circle in the area below the ingnition switch to access the key release button.The stuck key may be a faulty ignition switch or a bent shift lever. That just happened to me, check if its in park. My truck wouldn't start either when the key was stuck, but it was still in drive. Otherwise are you aware that there is a release button? At the time I can't get my key out now either, but I think its cause I took a hammer to the release button before I realized it was in Drive.

on the bottom of the steering column there is a small rectangular plastic plug that pops out (small flat screw driver works good) pop this cover off and there is a button inside. hold that button in and it unlocks the ignition allowing you to get your key out. (the button pushes in toward the cab of the car) hope this helps
