Don't laugh: wait. If it was truly "water" it probably wet your distributor and when it dries out it'll start and dry itself further when you drive it, although it may be a little "sputtery" for a little while. If you get it started, DON'T TURN IT OFF til it stops sputtering. This advice based on driving a car through standing water and accidentally learning the hard way. If you got ANTIFREEZE all over your engine, you may run into additional problems (corrosion??) that I'm not really qualified to help with. Good luck!

After that all you have to do is replace the old pump with the new, using a new gasket. Then reverse everything you did to get to the water pump and put everything back together again.
