The Republicans had Senate majority until the 2006 Congressional Elections when Democrats took the majority. The National Republican Senatorial Committee works to gain a Republican majority Senate, hoping to in the 2010 Congressional elections.
In their last two U.S. Senate elections (2010 & 2012) they had one candidate from each party, so it appears not.

Yes. Congressional elections are held every two years (even numbered years). All seats in the House are open for elections. One-third of all Senate seats are open in each election because Senators are elected for 6 years.
